Oxygen’s Extraction in a Box (XiB) Concept is ‘Brilliant & Brave’

Oxygen Forensics’ class ‘Extraction in a Box’ (XiB) is proof that training doesn’t have to be tedious and mundane. Just ask Simon “Si” Biles, Forensics Focus podcast host, multimedia forensics expert witness, and lecturer.

Si offered his review of the class to Oxygen Forensics Senior Instructor Ryan Ebersole, after attending the event remotely.

“It was great fun to attend the class, I think that the whole XIB class concept is both brilliant and brave … but it worked so well and I really enjoyed it,” Si said. “I think that you taught it very well and I really appreciate the engagement with just me, when you have a room full of people. I felt like I was there!

“I’d love to attend a future class.”

Our Extraction in a Box (XiB) concept is a three-day instructor-led training event that focuses on the physical, logical, and Android Agent and iOS Agent methods of data extraction from Android, iOS, KaiOS, and other devices (drone, UICC, SD card) using Oxygen Device Extractor, a component of Oxygen Forensic® Detective.

Other topics covered include bypassing screen lock pins, passcodes, and swipe patterns; using ADB commands; upgrading and downgrading firmware and application versions, and brute force attacking secure start protection against FDE and FBE.

This class provides 21 hours of CPE credits as well.

“Professional development is very important within my agency. I’ve really loved the continuing education Oxygen provides. [Oxygen CEO Lee Reiber] has this focus on everybody continuing to get better, and I agree with that philosophy. There’s always that thirst to learn and grow. So, I’m happy that Oxygen has a culture that supports that same mindset,” said David Ratkovich, Director at ETS Intelligence, a licensed private detective, security contractor, and law enforcement officer with more than 20 years of experience.

“Another thing I love about Oxygen’s business model is that the training is all part of the LMS system. Oxygen creates regular content, like webinars, to answer common user questions. And all that content is available just by being part of the ecosystem, right? Oxygen’s products and training are very well supported.”
